The world's response
Kristersson in Jas talks with Zelenskyj in Estonia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj is in Estonia for a summit with the leaders of the Nordic and Baltic countries. He has met with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M).

They talked about, among other things, the Ukrainian defense.

"Ukraine has momentum on the battlefield and Sweden will continue its support," writes Kristersson on X.

The leaders also discussed the Swedish sale of Jas Gripen to Ukraine.

"We are doing our very best to ensure that Gripen becomes operational and that we maintain strong ties to Sweden," writes Zelenskyj.

Zelenskyj: It's a shame we haven't received as much support

Volodymyr Zelenskyj is disappointed that Ukraine has not received as much military support as Israel and other US allies in the Middle East. In an interview with The Guardian, the Ukrainian president says that he is grateful for the US support, but that others have received more.

- It's a shame.

Zelenskyj says that he has repeatedly told US President Donald Trump that Vladimir Putin cannot be trusted and that the Russian president does not want peace, no matter what he says.

The Ukrainian leader also notes that Trump's gaze has been directed away from Ukraine recently.

- It is clear that their focus shifted immediately when the war with Iran broke out, he says.
