Trump warned Netanyahu: “Otherwise you will be alone”

Israel had prepared more extensive attacks on Iran, sources tell Axios. But US President Donald Trump made the country cancel, according to the news site.

It happened in a phone call between Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday.

– I said: “Bibi, you better be careful, otherwise you will be alone very soon,” says Trump in an interview with Axios in which he uses Netanyahu’s nickname.

An Israeli source states that the leaders did not completely agree, but that Netanyahu agreed to back down. After the call, Netanyahu asked his military command to cancel all planned attacks.

According to Trump, his administration also spoke with Iran.

“They called us and said they were stopping the attacks and asked us to ask Israel not to carry out any more attacks,” the president told Axios.
