Zelensky in Tallinn – to meet Nordic leaders
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky joins Nordic and Baltic leaders at a summit in Estonia on Tuesday.
It is a rainy Tallinn that receives the ministers of state and prime ministers of the NB8 countries. Security and defense, competitiveness and AI are on the agenda for the meeting.
“Supporting Ukraine is one of the main priorities of the Estonian presidency of the NB8. We will discuss how to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities, increase pressure on Russia and make Europe as a whole safer,” says Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal in a press release ahead of the meeting.
The group is expected to adopt, among other things, a joint declaration on enhanced security and defense cooperation between the NB8 countries and Ukraine.
NB8 is an abbreviation for Nordic-Baltic cooperation. The summit will be attended by the leaders of all eight Nordic and Baltic countries.
