Another goldsmith, this time in Songkhla, posted a photo of herself with a gun on social media to deter potential robbers after one of the four armed gold robbers in Tak province was shot by another goldshop owner on Thursday. Her photo is now going viral.

The robbers in Tak hastily retreated after shooting the glass door of a goldsmith in Tak province on Thursday to enter for gold only to have the fire returned from the shop owner who happens to be a award-winning sharp shooter.

One of the hooded robbers was shot and injured after he tried to restart his motorbike while another arrested. Social media users hail Pisit Rapitphan, 46, as a hero. #Thailand #KE

The Army said Friday the public should not be alarmed when a cavalry troop, tanks and artilleries will be transported from Lopburi province to Saraburi province on Sunday. Such warnings have become common since some people see it as a possible coup in the making.
