Police are investigating an allegation made a Chinese tourist that she obtained a VVIP treatment upon arrival at the airport in Thailand by paying police to cut immigration queue, pick her up and use police car take her to a hotel in Pattaya. The woman under account choudan0302 posted a video clip on Douyin App, or Chinese version of TikTok, on Friday. She said police pickup and transfer costs 7,000 baht and a police motorcycle escort with siren on costs an additional 6,000 baht.
The Chinese tourist said it took just five minutes to get through the airport and the journey to Pattaya was swift.
