Princess Märtha Louise It was because of the shaman's statement that Princess Märtha Louise lost all her royal duties. It wasn't about the princess herself.  

That's what Märtha Louise tells in SVT's program "Min sanning". 

- Would it have been the same if I had been a man? I don't think so, says the princess.  

On November 8, 2022, King Harald and Queen Sonja sent out a press release. Their daughter Princess Märtha Louise is no longer allowed to work for the royal house.  

In the end, the criticism against the shaman Durek Verrett and Märtha Louise had become too extensive, it could damage the monarchy in Norway. 

The princess had been questioned for a long time – her school of angels in the past and more recently her promotion of the shaman's business on social media. 

- I am probably the one in Norway who has received the most criticism, says Märtha-Louise in "Min sanning". The princess will participate in the program on Sunday, February 12. 

But when the royal couple made the decision to exclude their daughter, it was only about Durek Verrett. 

- Yes, it is, states the princess.

Criticism of the shaman has been very great. His claim that a locket that he sells for SEK 2,355 on his website made him healthy from corona has been dismissed as hoax by experts.  

But other statements, such as that children can give themselves cancer if they are unhappy, have also been strongly questioned.  

Princess Märtha Louise defends her future husband in "My truth".  

- I myself have been called a charlatan and all the things he is called. You don't want to understand and you don't want to familiarize yourself with other ways of looking at things. I think that if you had sat down and listened to him and what he really means, it is completely different from what has come out in the media, says Märtha Louise.  

She talks about the racism that Durek Verrett encountered, both in real life and on social media. It has made Märtha Louise aware of how deeply rooted racism is in society. 

- For me, it has been completely shocking to see how much it is. 

Märtha Louise would have liked to keep her royal duties and says that she would be happy to say yes if she is asked to work for the royal family in the future.

Anna Hedenmo meets a princess who is close to her feelings. The viewers will experience both tears and laughter during the conversation. 

It is the first interview that Princess Märtha Louise has given since her ex-husband Ari Behns committed suicide on Christmas Day 2019. 

- My nerves are not where they usually are, she says.  

When the princess sees a video clip from Ari's funeral as her daughter Maud gives a speech at her father's coffin, she needs a few minutes to gather herself. 

She is happy that Maud has been able to help others who have considered suicide. The family has received around 40 letters in which people say that Maud's speech saved their lives.

Märtha Louise also gets very emotional when she is asked what the horses have meant in her life.  

As a highly sensitive person, she previously had no filter towards the outside world. She was constantly taking in other people's feelings and it often became too much. She found rest with the horses. 

- The horses were a survival mechanism for me.  

Today, she has worked so much on herself that it doesn't bother her in the same way anymore.  

But she is happy that it is her little brother who will become regent one day and not herself. It was decided that the constitutional amendment would apply to the next generation. 

- I don't think it would have gone so well, maybe, she says with a laugh.
