Artificial Intelligence is not a hype. It will change our life forever. This is what Google CEO Sundar Pichai says in connection with a panel debate at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, according to TT.
He emphasizes that the development has gained considerable momentum recently and that there is no indication that it will slow down. At the same time, Pichai points out that it is important that society adapts to technology.
- It will change the game plan […] but we have to be careful, he warns.
Adobe provides Photoshop with generative AI
Earlier this year, Adobe released a beta version of its AI tool Firefly, and now it is incorporating pieces of the functionality from that tool into its Photoshop software. Techcrunch reports.
The technology enables Photoshop users to create or remove elements from images based on text. Initially, the new features are only available in a beta version of Photoshop.
Techcrunch writes that the results can sometimes – and as with all generative AI – be somewhat unpredictable.

After Chat GPT shutdown: More AI systems under review in Italy
Italy's data protection authority Garante in March temporarily halted all use of Open AI's chatbot Chat GPT in the country, citing suspected violations of privacy laws. And now the authority will review more AI platforms, reports Reuters.
The authority writes in a statement that it is generative AI and machine learning systems that will be reviewed. The purpose is to find out whether the services have taken the necessary measures to adapt to the data protection and privacy laws.
Garante is now looking for AI experts to help with the reviews.
