Dianne Feinstein's health problems
More and more Democrats want Dianne Feinstein to resign
More and more voices within the American Democrats demand that the 89-year-old Californian senator Dianne Feinstein leave her post, Newsweek reports.
Dean Philips, a member of the House of Representatives, believes that Feinstein's refusal to resign is an example of "self-preservation over principle" that damages citizens' trust in politics.
"We need change," he writes in a debate article in The Daily Beast.
Feinstein's health has deteriorated in recent years, and she was recently out of the Senate for two and a half months due to shingles. When she returned last week and was asked by reporters about her long absence, she seemed to have no memory of it.
