The Nord Stream leak
More and more German evidence that the act originated in Poland
The German Federal Police investigation seems to be getting closer to the conclusion that the sabotage of Nord Stream originated in Poland, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The investigators have reconstructed how the yacht Andromeda, which is suspected to be the boat from which the sabotage was carried out, sailed for two weeks. The data shows that Andromeda deviated from its course to sail into Polish waters en route to the gas pipelines.
The yacht is said to have been rented through a Warsaw-based travel agency, which appears to be part of a network of Ukrainian-owned shell companies with ties to Ukrainian intelligence, according to sources familiar with the investigation.
A white van with Polish license plates, seen by eyewitnesses and cameras in a German port, is said to have supplied the crew with equipment.

The violence in Somalia
Nine dead in attack on beach hotel in Mogadishu
Six civilians and three members of the security forces were killed when the Islamist terrorist group al-Shabaab attacked a beach hotel in Somalia's capital Mogadishu on Friday evening, local police said, according to AFP.
Just before 06:00 on Saturday, the security forces stated that they had repelled the attack.
84 people are said to have been evacuated from the hotel. Witness Abdirahim Ali states that he was near the newly renovated, crowded restaurant when a large explosion was heard.
- I managed to escape, but there was intense shooting afterwards and the security forces rushed there.
al-Shabaab has been fighting the internationally recognized government for 15 years, and often targets hotels with high-ranking Somali and foreign guests.

The knife attack in Annecy
The knifeman charged - shouted "in the name of Jesus" during the act
All six people who were injured by the knifeman in French Annecy are out of danger, the prosecutor says according to Reuters.
The man, a Syrian citizen born in 1991, was charged on Saturday with attempted murder. According to the prosecutor, there is no indication of terrorist motives.
In a video seen by AFP, the man is heard shouting "in the name of Jesus" as he goes to attack. French BFM TV reports that he was carrying a cross and a prayer book when he was arrested.
The man is registered in Western Sweden, where he lived for ten years under "orderly conditions" with his wife, children and permanent residence permit, according to Aftonbladet.
According to his wife, he left Sweden because he was not granted citizenship, writes AFP. He then sought asylum in Switzerland, Italy and France, according to France's interior minister.
- He called me four months ago and said he lived in a church, says the wife.
Last weekend he had his asylum application rejected in France.

LGBTQ rights in Europe
Queera is abolished when the EU wants to strengthen the protection of LGBTI people
EU member states agree to strengthen equality for LGBTI people. But that does not include those who define themselves as queer, Ekot reports.
That because several countries, including Hungary, say no.
- I don't think there is any doubt about what the Swedish attitude is in these matters. We must start from the basis that applies and based on that move forward the positions, and we do that, says Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer (M).
But Elias Fjellander, federation chairman at RFSL youth, believes that the EU countries give way to countries like Poland and Hungary, "countries that oppose people's opportunity to express themselves as they want".
