American arrested - crossed the border of North Korea
According to AP, an American has been arrested after crossing the border between South Korea and North Korea, without permission.
The person was taking part in a tour of a border village in the demilitarized zone that separates North and South Korea. Militaries from both countries guard the zone.
The UN is working to resolve the situation. On Twitter, they write that they believe the man is now in a North Korean detention center.

Hollywood companies critical: We offered them a billion
Major film and television studios in Hollywood are critical of the SAG-AFTRA union's portrayal of the negotiations that preceded the actors' strike. That is written by Reuters. According to the employers' organization AMPTP, the actors were offered increased wages and better benefits for a total of about one billion dollars - yet the union chose to call a strike.
- That SAG-AFTRA claims that we have not been responsive to the needs of their members is frivolous at best, the organization writes in a statement.

The alarm: Children are pushed into the Rio
Grande by border guards
Border Patrol agents in Texas have been ordered to put small children and nursing infants back into the Rio Grande River, according to the Houston Chronicle.
The alarm comes after a border guard in an email described the situation for migrants as inhumane. The email is now being picked up by several American media.
The border guards, who work for Texas Governor Greg Abbott and his border security initiative, have reportedly been told not to give water to asylum seekers, even in extreme heat. The email states that barbed wire must have been placed in parts of the river with high water and low visibility. It has increased the risk of migrants drowning, as they are forced out into deeper parts of the river.
