On Sunday, a large meeting was held in Madrid where several prominent far-right political leaders gathered to deliver incendiary speeches against socialism and immigration, The Guardian reports.
The "great patriotic convention" was organized by the Spanish party Vox, and among the participants were France's Marine le Pen, Hungary's Viktor Orbán, Italy's Giorgia Meloni and Argentina's Javier Milei. Around 11,000 people attended, according to France 24.
Milei called for unity within the global right against the "black, vile, satanic cancer that is socialism". Vox leader Santiago Abascal also called for unity against "globalism and its socialist soul", and Orbán called on "patriots to occupy Brussels".
The far-right parties are expected to make great progress in the upcoming EU elections.
