Iran's underground Fordo facility could be attacked within 48 hours, according to Iran International.

Even if the US decides to withdraw.

- The window is closing, an Israeli source tells the newspaper.

The IDF has carried out extensive attacks on  Iran during the night. Among other things, they claim to have hit a headquarters where Iran has been working on researching and developing nuclear weapons, writes the IDF on X.

"The IDF has carried out several attacks on the heart of Tehran last night," writes the IDF.

Over 60 fighter jets participated in the attack and they are said to have hit a dozen military targets in total.

Iran has responded by attacking several targets in Israel, writes the state-run Iranian news agency Irna on Telegram.

They have hit targets in Israel's "cyber capital" Gav-Yam Negev in Be'er Sheva in southern Israel, which is also usually described as a hub for research and innovation when it comes to cybersecurity and defense technology.

Several companies such as Elbit Systems, Microsoft and Paypal are located there.

At the same time, Israel is waiting for Donald Trump's decision on whether the US will help bomb the Fordo nuclear facility in Qom.

The facility, which is located 80 meters underground and has the capacity to produce uranium for nuclear bombs, has not suffered any damage from the Israeli attacks.

The US GBU-57 bunker buster has been singled out as the only weapon capable of destroying the facility, and Trump has said he will make a decision within two weeks.

But time is running out, according to Israeli sources Iran International spoke to.

The sources say the most likely scenario is a joint strike within 48 to 72 hours. But even without US help, Israel is said to be trying to destroy the facility.

“The window to hit this site is closing and the Israeli military has been planning for the operation for months. Iran’s airspace will not be open like this indefinitely,” the source said.
