The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns foreign embassies in Beijing.
"Don't use facades to display politicized propaganda."
A call that would hide support for Ukraine.
Ukrainian flags blowing in the wind outside various countries' embassies around the world have not been uncommon since the Russian invasion.
The Chinese capital, Beijing, is no exception, where, for example, Great Britain, Poland, Slovakia and the United States hung the yellow-blue flag to show their support.
But now China wants to see the flags lowered. Foreign embassies are asked to remove "politicized propaganda". A call to refer to the Ukrainian flag, according to The Guardian.

The warning: "Do not use facades"
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent out a warning on May 10 to all embassies and international organizations with offices in China, writes Reuters.
"To avoid sparking conflicts between countries. Do not use facades to display politicized propaganda.”
The ministry's spokesperson Wang Wenbin believes that they want to see that embassies and international companies have a duty to respect China's laws and regulations.
Nabila Massrali, spokesperson for the EU, tells The Guardian that all diplomatic embassies received the message.
- The message did not specify what is "politicized propaganda", and there was no further information. The EU delegation has not changed anything displayed on our facade, says Massrali.
