A person seriously injured after a car attack in Tel Aviv - Hamas praises the act as "heroic"
Several people have been injured in connection with a car driving into people in Tel Aviv in Israel, according to the Jerusalem Post.
The data on the number of injured differ, from four to seven. One of the people is said to be seriously injured.
According to a spokesperson at the ambulance, some of the people had knife wounds. Haaretz writes that the perpetrator was shot dead by a civilian on the spot. The police describe the incident as a terrorist attack and state that the suspected perpetrator is a Palestinian resident of the West Bank.

Analysis: "A new generation that cannot be controlled"
Not harming civilians in the densely populated refugee camp in Jenin is a difficult task for Israel, writes the BBC's Middle East correspondent Anna Foster in an analysis.
"An operation of this magnitude in an area where thousands of families live is not without risk. Only afterwards will we be able to have an idea of the consequences.”
The Jerusalem Post's Yonah Jeremy Bob questions whether the operation can stop the "wave of terror against Israelis". Considerably more force or diplomacy is required to create fundamental change, according to him.
"Israeli forces can confiscate hundreds of bombs and weapons but new ones can be manufactured in a couple of months. One group of terrorists can be killed or captured, but others can easily replace.”
The situation in Jenin may feel familiar but in fact the West Bank has changed since the second intifada 20 years ago, writes The Guardian's Peter Beaumont.
Armed Palestinian groups have been given space when the regular Palestinian security forces have been absent. According to Beaumont, there is now a "new generation of militants who cannot be controlled".

3,000 Palestinians are reported to have fled the camp in Jenin
About 3,000 Palestinians have fled the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank since the Israeli army began its large-scale operation against the area. This is stated by the city's deputy governor, Kamal Abu al-Roub, for AFP.
A spokesperson for the United Nations confirms that residents are leaving the area.
Israel's offensive began on the night of Monday and so far eight people have been killed, according to Palestinian data.
The Jerusalem Post writes that the Palestinian authorities have severed all contacts with Israel as a result of the military operation.
