Now Haley can give up - Trump is expected to win everything

During Super Tuesday, which falls on Tuesday, Donald Trump is expected to win the primaries in all 15 states and one territory.

This may be the moment when Nikki Haley finally gives up, reports the Washington Post.

Former UN ambassador Haley has struggled against the odds in recent months' primaries. So much so that Republicans are already widely discussing the effects of her defection.

"The next chapter of this journey will be about how Trump treats Haley and her supporters," Republican strategist Scott Reed told the newspaper.

Meanwhile, CNN reports that Haley has backed away from an earlier promise to support Trump in the fight against Biden if he wins the presidential election.

- I will make the decision I want, but it's not something I'm thinking about right now, says Haley, who firmly rejects any information that she would be close to giving up.

Fewer and fewer trust Biden's and Trump's "mental capacity"

Six out of ten Americans say, according to an opinion poll, that they have little or no confidence that Joe Biden has the "mental capacity" required to be president. For Donald Trump, the same figure is almost as high: just under six out of ten.

It is an increase compared to previous measurements, according to AFP.

84-year-old voter Paul Miller tells the news agency he will not vote for either. Joe Biden doesn't have "the mentality" required, Miller says, and Trump is "too old, too, and half crazy."

HD is expected to decide whether Trump can stand for election

During the day, the US Supreme Court will issue a ruling on the question of whether a state can stop a candidate from participating in a primary election, according to several media outlets.

Colorado, Maine and Illinois have all made decisions to stop former President Donald Trump from being on the ballot. That with reference to Trump's involvement in the storming of Congress in Washington on January 6, 2021. 

Trump has appealed Colorado's decision to the Supreme Court. The other two states have paused their own decisions pending HD's ruling.

Tuesday is the so-called Super Tuesday, when 15 states, including Colorado, hold primaries.
