Urges Thedéen to wait - to get "the crown with him"
A clear majority of the surveyed assessors, in surveys conducted by, for example, Bloomberg and Direkt, believe that the Riksbank will lower the interest rate for the first time in eight years on Wednesday morning, from 4 percent to 3.75 percent.
- All boxes are ticked, says Mattias Persson, chief economist at Swedbank, to TT.
Michael Grahn, Danske Bank's chief economist, believes that the Riksbank has an "information advantage" and that the krona can be further pressured in the event of a devaluation. He urges the board to take it easy.
- Then maybe you can take the crown with you instead, says Grahn to DI.
Bloomberg economist Bahar Baziki also states that the Riksbank will be more in sync with the Fed and the ECB if you wait.
"Waiting until next month would prevent unwanted pressure on an already struggling currency," she writes.

Economist: Small cost to wait with reduced interest
Just over two out of three economists want the Riksbank to lower interest rates on Wednesday, in SvD Näringsliv's survey ahead of the announcement. Only 9 of the 32 responding bank economists urge Erik Thedéen to wait to lower.
One of them is Handelsbanken's chief economist Christina Nyman. She believes that it doesn't hurt to wait.
- Waiting until June to lower the interest rate is a fairly small cost to insure against the krona continuing to weaken, says Christina Nyman.
