Argentine farmers fear mini-locusts: "Is crazy"
Climate change means a nightmare for Argentina's corn farmers, writes Reuters. Harvests have declined sharply due to an invasion of insects that thrive in high temperatures.
The species in question is a grasshopper no larger than four millimeters, but it carries diseases that threaten production. The insects have been there for a long time, but nowadays you see "clouds" of them, says Anibal Cordoba from the Chaco province in northern Argentina.
