Trump's team

Musk-led department to be sued

Donald Trump's efficiency department, Doge, led by Elon Musk, will be sued minutes after Donald Trump takes office as president, writes The Washington Post.

According to the lawsuit, Doge violates federal transparency rules, according to documents from a law firm that the newspaper has seen. Among other things, this concerns a 1972 law that requires advisory committees to the executive branch to follow certain rules.

"All meetings with Doge, including those conducted via an electronic medium, must be open to the public.", the lawsuit states.

Ramaswamy drops out - would have worked with Musk

Vivek Ramaswamy drops out of work with Donald Trump's "efficiency department" Doge, writes the Washington Post.

Ramaswamy was supposed to lead the effort together with Tesla CEO Elon Musk. According to the newspaper's sources, the defection is not due to any differences of opinion with Trump or Musk, but because he wants to focus on the upcoming gubernatorial election in Ohio.

Ramawsamy is expected to launch his campaign next week.
