The Polish Prime Minister accuses Norway of taking advantage of the war in Ukraine.
He also thinks that the country should share its oil profits.
- This is not normal, it's not fair. You are benefiting from the war that Putin started, says Mateusz Morawiecki.
During a question and answer session with young people on Saturday, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawieckis says that Norway is benefiting from oil prices that are rising due to the war in Ukraine, reports Norwegian E24, which refers to Polish TVN24.
He also thinks that Norway's increased oil revenues should be shared with Ukraine.
- Something is wrong. Write to your young friends in Norway. They should share this gigantic surplus, the Prime Minister urges the young people present.

"Not fair"
Then he turns directly to the Norwegians.
- Dear Norwegian friends. This is not normal, this is not fair. You are benefiting from the war that Putin started. By chance, of course, because the war in Ukraine is not Norway's fault, but you are indirectly profiting from the war, says Morawiecki.
- You should share quickly. I am not saying that it is necessary for Poland, but for Ukraine, those who have been hardest hit by this war, he continues.
Oil revenues are forecast to rise six times more than expected
During the first three months of the year, Norway sold gas, salmon and other raw materials abroad for NOK 435 billion, which is almost three times as much as usual.
The increased income is believed to be due to unrest in the world economy but also to the war in Ukraine, writes E24.
Oil sales almost doubled to over NOK 120 billion during the first quarter, compared with a few years ago.
Norwegian Dagens Næringsliv wrote in March that Norway's oil revenues could amount to as much as NOK 1,750 billion this year. That is a six times higher amount than the Norwegian government has calculated.
