Ousted and fugitive former premier Thaksin Shinwatra tweeted late Saturday night denying that he's meeting senior members of the Prayut Chan-o-cha caretaker government to cook up an alternative plan for new government coalition in Hong Kong. "I'm in Dubai... and have no plan to go to Hong Kong," tweeted Thaksin, who’s widely regarded as the de facto leader of Pheu Thai Party.
Rumours spread that Pheu Thai may be attempting to form its own coalition as Move Forward Party continues to struggle to gain 376 voted needed to make party leader Pita Limjaroenrat PM.
