The Israeli army has blown up the homes of suspected killers
The Israeli army destroyed on Thursday the home of Palestinian Kamal Jouri in Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
A YouTube video posted on the army's website shows how soldiers enter the apartment in an apartment building, use cardboard templates to drill holes in the walls, load the holes with explosives and carry out the explosion.
Kamal Jouri is suspected of having shot dead an Israeli soldier last October together with two other Palestinians. One of them has been killed by the army, according to AFP, and the home of the other was destroyed in May. None of the three have been convicted of the murder.
Israel regularly destroys the homes of suspected terrorists as a deterrent. Human rights organizations believe that it means unfair collective punishment, and in Israeli security circles it is debated whether the method is effective at all, writes the Times of Israel.

15-year-old Sadeel became one of the victims of the spiral of violence
Palestinian Sadeel Naghniyeh's classmates carried her dead body on a stretcher, sometimes on their shoulders and sometimes between them, during the funeral in the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank on Wednesday, according to Al Jazeera. The girl died in hospital yesterday after she was shot in the head in her garden when the Israeli army stormed Jenin on Monday.
This brings the death toll to seven just for Monday's raid. In total, at least 135 Palestinians and 24 Israelis have been killed this year, according to AP, which follows the development of an escalating spiral of violence.
On Tuesday, two Palestinians shot at the illegal Israeli settlement of Eli in the occupied West Bank, killing four Israelis. Subsequently, settlers stormed several Palestinian areas, setting fire to fields and buildings and throwing stones at Palestinian cars, according to the AP. The Israeli army shot dead three alleged members of the Islamic Jihad terrorist group with drones on Wednesday, according to the AP.
