Open AI "categorically disagrees" with the claims made against the company in Elon Musk's lawsuit, which became public earlier this week. This is evident from an internal message that went out to the employees, writes Bloomberg.
According to the filing, Musk believes that the Chat GPT company, which he co-founded, has strayed from its original idea of putting the best interests of humanity before profits. Musk is also said to have accused Open AI of being "a subsidiary" of the major owner Microsoft.
Open AI's head of strategy Jason Kwon writes in the letter that Musk's accusations may be based on "that he regrets that he is no longer part of the company", writes the news agency.

Musk sues Open AI: "Profit before humanity"
Elon Musk is suing Open AI because the billionaire believes the company violated the agreement to develop AI technology for the benefit of humanity, not for profit. That's according to a lawsuit filed in a San Francisco court.
According to the filing, CEO Sam Altman and Open AI violate the company's original idea of serving humanity before profits. Musk believes that Open AI's source code has been closed and that the company has now "de facto become a subsidiary of the world's largest tech company: Microsoft".
"Under their new board, they are not only developing, but also refining, an AGI to maximize profit for Microsoft, rather than for the good of humanity," it says, among other things.
Musk believes that Open AI should return to an open source code and that the tech company and Microsoft should be prevented from using the technology to make profits.
Musk was one of the early financiers of Open AI and believes that the original idea for the company was to have a non-profit structure.
