Wanted men top Europol's "most wanted"
In the hunt for the former RAF followers Ernst-Volker Staub, 69, and Burkhard Garweg, 55, German police published new mugshots of the men on Saturday, the Berliner-Zeitung writes. They both top Europol's "Most wanted" list of wanted criminals and terrorists.
The search effort has intensified in the days after another former member of the socialist terror cell was arrested on Monday, 65-year-old Daniela Klette. During this morning's major police operation, two people were arrested, but the police have not yet confirmed the men's identities. Photos from the operation also indicate that the two arrested are younger than the wanted men.
The members of the infamous Red Army Faction, RAF, which is also commonly known as the Baader-Meinhofligan, carried out several bombings, kidnappings and murders between the years 1970 and 1998.

German police: No success in hunt for RAF pensioners
The wanted RAF terrorists Ernst-Volker Staub, 69, and Burkhard Garweg, 55, could not be located in connection with the large police operation in Berlin during the morning. The German police announced this at noon.
Staub and Garweg both previously belonged to the infamous Red Army faction, the RAF, which is also commonly known as the Baader-Meinhofligan. Over 100 police officers took part in the manhunt and several people were arrested during the operation, but later released.
Earlier this week, a third former member of the socialist terror cell, 65-year-old Daniela Klette, was arrested. She had then been on the run for over 30 years. The trio Klette, Staub and Garweg went underground when the terror cell was disbanded and are usually referred to in the German media as the "RAF pensioners".
