The development of electric cars
Sources: Germany will vote against the car tariffs
Germany will vote against the imposition of EU tariffs on Chinese-made electric cars in a vote on Friday, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.
In the first vote, the country abstained from voting. After that, the German car industry and the IG Metall union pressured Chancellor Olaf Scholz to vote against the tariffs. The companies have large parts of their manufacturing in China and also worry that they will be hit by a response from China.
"Tariffs are the wrong approach as they will not improve the competitiveness of the European car industry," the union and employers' organizations wrote in a joint statement

Wallenberg: "30 heirs - gotta like it"
For the Wallenberg family, adaptation has been the key to financial success in the 170 years since the founding of SEB-banken. This is what the current chairman Marcus Wallenberg says in an interview with the Norwegian Oil Fund's podcast "In Good Company".
The 68-year-old also gives his view on the handover to the sixth generation, in which there are around 30 heirs.
- Some of them have said that they want to work in the business. Some have said they want to work with the foundations. Others have said they are satisfied as family members.
Wallenberg hopes that there will be an interest on the part of one of the heirs to step forward and at the same time emphasizes that the work is very time-consuming.
- You must really like what we do, he says.
Until now, the heirs have been relatively anonymous, but according to Affärsvärlden, Stéphanie Gandet and Martina Wallenberg are two candidates for heavy positions in the sphere in the long term.
