IDF: Iran hit two Israeli airbases

Iran hit two Israeli airbases in Tuesday's massive robot attack, IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said, according to Reuters.

No people or aircraft were injured, and both bases are fully operational, he added in the televised message.

- The response to this shameful attack will come in the way, at the time and in the place we decide in accordance with the instructions of the political leadership, says Hagari.

West fears oil crisis - asks Israel not to oil fields

The US and several European countries are urging Israel not to strike against Iran's oil production for fear of an oil crisis that could damage the world economy, reports Haaretz.

Joe Biden clearly advised Israel against such attacks in a press conference on Friday. His administration is said to be particularly concerned - partly because of the upcoming US election, but also because an oil crisis in the Middle East could benefit Russia.

Israel's military said on Saturday that it is preparing a "significant" response to Iran's attack, but exactly what is planned is unclear.

Source: Israel prepares response to Iran's attack

Israel's military is "preparing a response" to Iran's robot attack earlier this week. An Israeli source told AFP.

"The IDF (Israeli military) is preparing a response to the unprecedented and illegal Iranian attack on Israeli civilians and Israel," said the source, who wished to remain anonymous as he was not authorized to speak to the media on the matter.

It was on Tuesday that Iran bombarded Israel with nearly 200 robots, as revenge for Israel killing Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut the previous Friday.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said after the attack that Iran made a big mistake for which they will have to pay.
