Donald Trump demands that European companies remove requirements for diversity and inclusion.

Something that Swedish telecom giant Ericsson is now bowing to, reports Dagens Industri.

In a letter to European entrepreneurs, Donald Trump prohibits guidelines on diversity, fairness and inclusion if they are to do business with the US.

The French Ministry of Commerce was furious at the announcement and described it as "unacceptable".

Swedish Ericsson, which recently donated millions to Donald Trump's inauguration, has for several years emphasized the importance of diversity and inclusion in its annual reports.

But now the words "diversity" and "inclusion" have been removed from the 2024 annual report, reports Dagens Industri.

Instead, it has been renamed "equal treatment and equal opportunities". It is also no longer described as a goal but as an "ambition"

AB Volvo at the same time chooses to keep the words, according to DI.

Ericsson has been investigated by the US Department of Justice on suspicion of bribing IS in Iraq.

In February, Donald Trump issued an executive order to pause the measures until new and revised guidance has been found on how to

apply them. Something that could mean that the investigation is now being put on hold, which Aktiespararna has previously reported about.
