British police arrested 325 people during a demonstration in support of the pro-Palestinian activist group Palestine Action on Saturday.

According to the London police, the majority of the arrests were made because the individuals expressed support for the organization, which has been banned and designated as a terrorist group by the British government.

The decision to classify Palestine Action as a terrorist group was made in July of last year. It followed an incident in which several activists broke into an airbase to protest against the UK’s military support for Israel during the war in Gaza.

The ban has led to a protracted legal battle and is now set to be heard in the High Court, with a two-day hearing scheduled to begin on Wednesday.
