The son of British top politician Ben Grant, 30, is fighting against the Russians in Ukraine.

Now his participation in the fighting is to be investigated by Russia.

"His actions will receive a legal assessment," it said in a statement from the Russian Committee of Inquiry.

Former Marine Ben Grant, 30, has gone to Ukraine to fight Russia. He is the son of British Tory politician Helen Grant.

Now a dramatic clip is being spread that shows how he and other foreign soldiers were shot by the Russian military in a forest area, according to The Daily Telegraph.

"We have to move now, otherwise we will die!", Ben Grant is heard shouting in a movie while fighting is heard in the background.

While the shots are in the air, Ben Grant and other soldiers try to help their comrade-in-arms Dean Arthur, who injured his leg after walking on a mine.

"I was terrified but also driven to pursue my most important goal, which was to bring him and my group to safety," Ben Grant told The Daily Telegraph.

- Trying to perform this (first aid) in the middle of the firefight while there are Russians shooting over us and around us was just so difficult, he continues.

Another clip shows the unit trying to hit the Russian soldiers with a rocket launcher before retreating and seeking shelter among the trees.

"Never experienced anything like this"

British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has previously said she supports those who want to go to Ukraine to "fight for democracy".

Later she has said that she advises against all travel to the country.

According to British media, Ben Grant went to Ukraine shortly after the country was invaded by Russia.

Ben Grant tells The Telegraph that his unit had prepared an attack on the Russian military when they were ambushed.

- What was scary was that you were so limited when you try to carry someone, when you can not pull up your weapon while helicopters fly over you and tanks shoot through the forest. It was unreal, I have never experienced anything like this in my entire life, says Ben Grant.

The unit consists of 15 people from the UK and USA as well as two Ukrainian interpreters.

The unit is also believed to have been part of the Ukrainian counter-offensive that drove the Kremlin's troops from Kharkiv earlier in the spring.(Charkiv tidigare under våren.)

Russia wants to investigate Grant

Ben Grant's war in Ukraine has provoked reactions in Russia.

The Russian news agency Ria writes that the country's investigative committee will assess Ben Grant's actions.

"His actions will receive a judicial assessment," the committee said in a statement.
