Donald Trump is indicted for how he handled classified documents.
According to several media, the suspicions concern seven crimes.
After the announcement, Trump raged in capital letters.
Trump stated just before 01.30, during the night of Friday, Swedish time, that he had received a summons to a court in Miami on Tuesday.
According to CNN, the New York Times and several other media outlets, the indictment covers seven crimes. This is also confirmed by Trump's lawyer Jim Trusty to the media. According to him, the allegations are false.

"I am an innocent man"
On his own social media platform Truth social, Trump rages against the indictment.
"I never thought it possible that such a thing would happen to a former American president, who received many more votes than any other president in the history of our country," he writes.
The post ends, as so often by Trump, with capital letters:
“I AM AN INNOCENT MAN!”
The indictment is the first at the federal level against a US president. It has, according to the New York Times, been submitted by the experienced prosecutor Jack Smith, who last November was appointed as a special investigator in the case. He was appointed by US Attorney General Merrick Garland.

The investigation is based on the discovery of 33 boxes of documents that Trump took with him from the White House after he was voted out as president. They were seized in an FBI-raid on his residence in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, last August. Several of the documents were marked as top secret. One of them was, among other things, about the nuclear weapons capability of a foreign power, US media have reported.
Previous charges
In April, Donald Trump became the first ex-president to be charged with a crime. It then concerned suspicions that he allegedly falsified the accounting in connection with payments payments of so called hush money. They to, among others, the porn star Stormy Daniels.
Now he will be the first to be brought to trial in a federal case, writes the New York Times.
The Department of Justice has not yet confirmed the new indictment.
