The criticism against Tiktok
Tiktok proposal is America's most aggressive move yet
That the US House of Representatives has voted through a ban on Tiktok is the most aggressive US move against the tech giants so far, writes Bloomberg. Among those who voted against the proposal were also members who justified their "no" with the fact that the ban should be broader and include more tech companies, such as Meta and X.
The proposal, which is now moving on to the Senate, means that Chinese Bytedance must sell its share in Tiktok's owner company Bytedance if Tiktok is to continue operating in the United States.
