Damage cases are pouring in to the Norwegian defense after the large military exercise Nordic Response, which was held in northern Norway, Sweden and Finland earlier in March.

On Thursday morning, the defense had received 116 notifications. The damages are estimated to amount to between three and eight million kroner, according to the newspaper Forsvarets forum.

Among other things, it concerns damage to buildings, cars, road railings and road lighting. One thing is particularly costly: a helicopter that misfired and caused a herd of reindeer to disperse.

The defense will compensate for the damages.

Around 20,000 soldiers from 13 different countries took part in the Nordic Response military exercise from 4 to 15 March. The exercise formed part of the NATO Steadfast Defender series of exercises.
