New royal photo questioned: 'Edited in nine places'

Another royal photo is in the wind in Britain.
Now the image of Queen Elizabeth, surrounded by her youngest relatives, has received a warning flag on X.
Among other things, one of the great-grandchildren looks strangely cropped.
The scandal surrounding Princess Catherine's fake Mother's Day picture has caused many to look a little extra closely at other pictures published by the British royal house.
Now it's a photo of Queen Elizabeth, surrounded by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, that has been put under the microscope by Photoshop enthusiasts.
The photo was published on Kensington Palace's official account on X in April 2023.
“Today would have been Queen Elizabeth's 97th birthday. This photograph – which shows her with some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren – was taken at Balmoral last summer,” the caption reads.
It also says that the picture was taken by the "princess", which here refers to Kate Middleton.

This weekend, The Guardian was able to report that this photo also shows "similar signs of digital manipulation" as the Mother's Day photo.
According to the magazine, Prince Louis, William and Kate's youngest child, appears to have been cropped into the picture.
Even the locks of Mia Tindall, another of the Queen's great-grandchildren, appear to have been copied and pasted several times over.
The picture has also attracted attention in social media. User Le__Katerina claims on X that the image has been edited "in at least nine places".
In a series of zoomed-in pictures, she points out oddities on, among other things, the queen's skirt and the green sofa they are sitting on.
Now a warning message has appeared under the image of the Kensington Palace photo.
It reads: “This image appears to have been digitally manipulated to give the impression that everyone in it was present at the same time. It is not a photo taken in the moment, but a collage of different occasions put together to create the illusion of a photograph”.
