Russia has intercepted secret conversations about the war in Ukraine between German Luftwaffe officers, the German Defense Ministry has confirmed.
The 38-minute conversation has been published by Russian propaganda channels. In the clip, four high-ranking military officers talk about the possibility of Ukrainian troops using the German-made Taurus cruise robot, something that Chancellor Olaf Scholz has so far said no to. Possible goals are also discussed.
In addition, the people say that the British have "some people in place" to help the Ukrainians with their Storm Shadow robots, an "explosive" detail that the British have denied, writes Süddeutsche Zeitung.
In an interview with Tagesschau, expert Florian Flade says that the US, UK and France will not be happy.
- In terms of security policy, this is almost a disaster because several things have happened here that play into Moscow's hands.
Many German politicians are concerned and demands are being heard for Chancellor Olaf Scholz to explain how this could happen.

Analysis of Scholz's play: Lie or open secret?
Olaf Scholz receives criticism, but also support, when the newspapers analyze the latest tours around the German Chancellor.
When Scholz was about to explain why he is not sending the Taurus cruise robot to Ukraine, he said that Germany does not want to become an active part of the war - and hinted that Britain and France are helping on the ground in Ukraine.
Embarrassing for NATO, writes Markus Lindqvist in Hufvudstadsbladet.
"Either Scholz made the whole thing up. Or he revealed a military secret.”
At home, Scholz gets backing. In the newspaper Die Tageszeitung, Pascal Becker writes that the caution is "sensible". Instead, he turns the tide against French President Emmanuel Macron, who recently opened up to Western soldiers in Ukraine. But "powerful rhetoric" does not help Ukraine, he writes.
"France's military and humanitarian support is at a deplorably low level. It is not even a tenth of what Germany gives.”
Deutsche Welle goes through why Ukraine dreams of Taurus. One reason is that the robot flies only 35 meters above the ground, which makes it almost impossible for radar systems to detect. In addition, it is powerful and accurate, which opens up strategic attacks against Russian hubs beyond the front.
