Gives secret order: Get ready for an attack from Putin

Great Britain is to prepare for a direct military attack from Russia.

The government has issued an order for the country's secret defense plan to be updated, writes The Telegraph.

The document includes scenarios for nuclear weapons and how the royal family should seek shelter in bunkers.

Since the offensive war against Ukraine began, Russian threats against Britian have escalated. Both politicians and TV propagandists have on several occasions singled out the country as a specific target. 

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has also revealed that Vladimir Putin tried to intimidate him personally when they spoke on the phone just before the invasion just over three years ago.

– He kind of threatened me at one point and said: “Boris, I don’t want to hurt you, but with a robot it would only take a few minutes” or something like that, Johnson said in a BBC documentary.

After Trump took office, the situation has become even more tense. The US has declared that Europe cannot count on military protection, both EU and the UK are arming themselves and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has opened the door for British soldiers to be deployed on the ground in Ukraine after a peace agreement.

Now The Telegraph reveals that Starmer is also increasing preparedness for a direct Russian attack. An order has been issued to rewrite Britain's secret defense plan, last updated in 2005.

The secret document will include guidelines for the government to respond to a declaration of war, which bunkers will protect the royal family and ministers and what will happen in the first days after an enemy attack.

According to the newspaper, scenarios are included in which Britain is hit by both conventional weapons and nuclear bombs. The new plan will also take into account large-scale cyber warfare.

The plan will also list how the government will function in wartime and when they should flee to bunkers at Downing Street or outside London.

The document is being produced by the Resilience Directorate, a special department within the Cabinet Office. The same agency has previously modeled for a simultaneous attack with missiles and cyber weapons and concluded that the consequences would be fatal, writes The Telegraph.
