Former Hostage: My Biggest Fear Was Israel's Bombs
Thousands of Israelis demonstrated against the government across the country on Saturday, reports the Times of Israel. The increased criticism of the military's Gaza offensive comes not least from former hostages and the hostages' families, who are convinced that the action is risking the hostages' lives.
In Tel Aviv, IDF soldier Naama Levy, who was held hostage by the Hamas terror group until January of this year, spoke to around 1,500 spectators. She said that her biggest fear in Gaza was Israel's bombs.
- Every time I was convinced that it was the end for me, she said, according to the newspaper.

UN summit demands more: "We have to go in on a large scale"
The UN is best placed to get in and distribute emergency aid in Gaza, says Cindy McCain, head of the UN World Food Program, according to Politico. McCain stresses that the need is urgent and says she has heard nothing concrete about reports that the US and Israel are working on their own solution to replace the UN.
She says that 100 trucks reach Gaza daily, compared to 600 during the ceasefire.
“We have to go in, and it has to be on a large scale. Not just a few trucks every now and then, it’s a drop in the ocean.
