The United States has indirectly pressured countries threatened with tariffs to favor Elon Musk's satellite company Starlink, according to internal documents obtained by the Washington Post. While the Trump administration has not formally demanded benefits for Starlink in exchange for tariff cuts, documents show that countries such as Lesotho only granted the company a license after Trump imposed tariffs. Lesotho then expressed hope that this would send a positive signal to the United States.
