Report: Judges have doubts about personal protection in the US
Federal judges in the US are considering obtaining their own personal protection solution, sources tell the Wall Street Journal. The reason is said to be concerns that Donald Trump will withdraw the protection currently offered through the US Marshals Service if decisions made by the judges do not go the president's way.
The alternative is said to have been discussed at several closed meetings this spring when about 50 federal judges gathered.
The president has a habit of publicly criticizing judges and according to reports there is concern after several incidents recently. Several judges have reportedly received anonymous pizza deliveries to their homes, which they interpreted as someone or a few wanting to tell them that they know where the judges live.

Trump's budget
New proposal: Give newborns $1,000 in Trump accounts
Republicans in the US want to give newborn children $1,000 investment accounts – so-called Trump accounts, reports the Financial Times.
The proposal is part of the president's new tax reform, which this week received the green light in the House of Representatives and has now been sent to the Senate.
- This will make every newborn a capitalist, says Senator Ted Cruz, who is pushing the proposal.
The children will not have access to the money until they are 18, but they will be allowed to top up the account with up to $5,000 per year. The condition is that the addition is invested in American assets, such as listed companies.
Critics warn of increased bureaucracy and Democrats have reacted strongly to the account being named after Trump, especially considering that Democratic Senator Cory Booker has proposed the same thing for several years.

The conflict with universities
Panic among Harvard's international students
There is a "pure panic" among international students at Harvard after the latest developments in the dispute between the top university and the Trump administration. This is reported by CNN, which interviewed several students who do not know if they will be able to continue their studies after the summer break.
- These are literally teenagers who are thousands of miles away from home and are forced into a situation that even lawyers would be wary of, says Pakistani student Abdullah Shahid Sial, who is also president of the school's student body.
The Trump administration claims that Harvard has not taken allegations of anti-Semitism and racism seriously and has demanded control over the school. When Harvard did not do as the White House wanted, they banned the school from enrolling students from countries other than the United States. The White House's latest move has been temporarily halted by a federal judge.
