Trump does not want to serve a third term
Donald Trump will not be president of the United States after 2028. He says so himself in an interview with the NBC News program "Meet the Press".
- I look forward to serving four great years and then handing it over to someone, hopefully a great Republican who can carry it on, he says.
Previously, the president has said that he is "not joking" about a third term being possible. Trump himself claims that many of his allies have urged him to try to stay in power. He also mentioned JD Vance and Marco Rubio as possible presidents.
