Some of America's most powerful weapons 
 
It was on Tuesday that US President Joe Biden in an article in the New York Times(New York Times) (announced his decision to send some of the country's most powerful weapons to Ukraine. 
 
Joe Biden claims that the weapons in question should benefit Ukraine on one condition: they may under no circumstances be used against targets on Russian territory, writes the New York Times.(New York Times.) 
 
"It is Russia's responsibility" 
 
On Wednesday, US Secretary of Defense Antony J. Blinken stated that Ukraine has assured that the weapons will only be used in Ukrainian territory, but stated in the same vein that it is up to Russia to stop the aggressions against Ukraine so that the situation does not escalate. 
 
The Kremlin has in turn stated that "unpleasant scenarios" are to be expected if the new weapons were to be aimed at Russian territory, the AP states. (AP.)
 
Spain sends tanks 
 
On Sunday, it was also clear that Spain will supply Ukraine with anti-aircraft missiles and tanks, something that the newspaper El Pai (El Paiss)was the first to report on. 
 
Spain will also be in charge of tank training for Ukrainian soldiers in Latvia, where the Spanish army has sent 500 soldiers as part of the NATO operation Enhanced Advanced Presence.
