Vladimir Putin warns of the consequences of the Western world supplying Ukraine with long-range weapons.
If the weapons are aimed at Russian territory, it will lead to "unpleasant scenarios", the Kremlin has previously claimed.
- The arms deliveries only aim to prolong the conflict as long as possible, says Vladimir Putin.
Russian President Vladimir Putin warns the Western world after the United States decided to send advanced long-range missile systems to Ukraine, Reuters reports.
Putin, on the one hand, claims that the weapons systems do not change anything "in practice" but that Russia, on the other hand, must take action if the West continues to provide Ukraine with long-range weapons.
"Hassle about arms deliveries"
Putin further states that "all the fuss about arms deliveries has only one goal, to drag out the armed conflict as long as possible". -
Recently, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated during a press conference in Saudi Arabia that arms deliveries increase the risk that a "third country" could be drawn into the war.(dras in i kriget.)

Some of America's most powerful weapons
It was on Tuesday that US President Joe Biden in an article in the New York Times(New York Times) (announced his decision to send some of the country's most powerful weapons to Ukraine.
Joe Biden claims that the weapons in question should benefit Ukraine on one condition: they may under no circumstances be used against targets on Russian territory, writes the New York Times.(New York Times.)
"It is Russia's responsibility"
On Wednesday, US Secretary of Defense Antony J. Blinken stated that Ukraine has assured that the weapons will only be used in Ukrainian territory, but stated in the same vein that it is up to Russia to stop the aggressions against Ukraine so that the situation does not escalate.
The Kremlin has in turn stated that "unpleasant scenarios" are to be expected if the new weapons were to be aimed at Russian territory, the AP states. (AP.)
Spain sends tanks

Spain will also be in charge of tank training for Ukrainian soldiers in Latvia, where the Spanish army has sent 500 soldiers as part of the NATO operation Enhanced Advanced Presence.
