Russian Offer to US: Stop Helping Ukraine and We'll Stop Helping Iran

Russia has offered the US to stop sharing intelligence with Iran about the US military presence in the Middle East in exchange for the US stopping sharing intelligence with Ukraine, sources told Politico.

The offer was reportedly conveyed by Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriyev to Trump's negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner during a meeting in the US last week.

The Americans rejected the offer, according to the sources, but it has raised concerns among European diplomats that Russia is trying to drive a wedge between the US and Europe at a crucial moment for transatlantic relations.

US to use British bases for attacks on Iran

Great Britain allows the US to use military bases on British soil for attacks on Iran's missile facilities in the Strait of Hormuz. The government announced this according to Reuters.

The decision was made after a meeting of British ministers on Friday, according to a statement from Downing Street.

“They confirmed that the agreement for the US use of British bases in the collective self-defense in the region includes US defensive operations against the missile installations and capabilities used for ship attacks in the Strait of Hormuz.”
