Iran is furious with Donald Trump after the new threats.

Now they are leaving the peace talks in Switzerland in protest, reports the Tasnim news agency.

The negotiations between Iran and the US were about to begin in Switzerland.

Then Donald Trump thundered his new threats on Truth social.

“Like last week”

He called on Iran to “immediately stop its highly paid proxies (Hezbollah) in Lebanon”.

“If they don’t, we will hit Iran hard again, just like we did last week, but harder!!!”.

The Iranian delegation then left the peace talks in protest.

“Don’t they realize that if their threats had any effect, they wouldn’t be this desperate? We don’t believe their threats”, writes the negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on X.

He continues:

“They should be careful with their comments, our armed forces are ready to react in a different way. Whatever they say, we will act”.

Remaining in the country

According to sources for Axios Barak Ravid, Iran is still in Switzerland.

“Talks between them and the US are ongoing”, he writes.

According to Iran, a halt to the war in Lebanon is a condition for the negotiations to continue.

In parallel, talks are underway with Qatar about the US lifting its blockade and handing over frozen Iranian assets in exchange for Iran opening the Strait of Hormuz.
