Thailand’s King Vajiralongkorn and his wife Suthida Tidjai travelled all the way to Thailand for a 10-minute ceremony for the opening of parliament. Now they are already back in Europe, where they spend most of the year on holiday in Germany and Switzerland.

There is quite a lot of mockery in the international media about the official photographs of Queen Suthida Tidjai that were recently released by the palace. 1/5



Many of the pictures were clearly photoshopped — for example, in the picture of Nui in military dress standing in front of two jeeps, it is clear from the shadows that she wasn't really there — there is a shadow from the jeep but Nui has no shadow. 2/5



British newspaper @TheTimes published some of the photographs with a caption saying "it seems the budget may not have run to shooting on location". 3/5



The headline in @MailOnline was "Thai King's new wife and former security guard dresses up in a dazzling array of uniforms - featuring a lot of medals and some very questionable photoshopping." 4/5
