The UN chief: On the way to climate hell

 UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres spoke during the first day of the CPO27 climate summit in Sharm-el-Sheik. 

He used a lyric from AC/DC's famous song.  

- We're on a highway to climate hell, he said in his speech, according to Reuters.  

He said the world now has two options: cooperate now to lower carbon emissions or condemn future generations to a climate disaster.  

He urged that the rich countries of the world should conclude a pact with poor countries to increase the pace of the transition, from fossil fuels to renewables.  

- The world's two largest economies, the United States and China, have a special responsibility to make joint efforts to get rid of this pact, he said.
