Trump's harsh criticism of the Pope: Lousy at foreign policy
Donald
Trump last night harshly criticized Pope Leo XIV, whom he considers,
among other things, to be "weak on issues of crime" and "lousy at
foreign policy". This is reported by several media outlets.
The
Pope has previously spoken out critically about the US and Israel's war
on Iran, something he attributed to an "imaginary omnipotence",
according to the AP.
Shortly after last night's comments about
the Pope, Donald Trump shared an AI-generated image on Truth Social in
which he appears to heal a sick man by laying on his hands.
Sources: Trump Considers New Strikes on Iran
Donald
Trump and his advisers are considering resuming limited military
strikes on Iran, in addition to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, to
break the deadlock in peace talks. This is stated by sources with
insight to the Wall Street Journal.
Large-scale strikes are also
reportedly being considered, but according to the sources, this is less
likely because it risks destabilizing the region and prolonging the war
even more.
After the talks in Pakistan collapsed, Trump spent
Sunday at his golf hotel in Doral, Florida, where he played golf, spoke
with advisers and called in to Fox News and threatened attacks on
Iranian civilian infrastructure.
– I would hate to do it, but their water, their desalination plants and power plants are very easy to hit, he said.
