Several injured in bomb attack in Colombia
At least 11 people were injured when a bomb on a truck detonated in the Colombian city of Cúcuta near Venezuela on Saturday. The incident occurred just days before the inauguration of the new President Abelardo de la Espriella.
The truck with explosives exploded near a police station. Eight police officers and three civilians were injured.
The US-backed right-wing politician Abelardo de la Espriella succeeds the outgoing left-wing President Gustavo Petro.
Abelardo de la Espriella will be sworn in as president on August 8.
The presidential election in Colombia was marked by violence, with an escalation of the armed conflict and attacks on the country's security forces.
