"Save the lives of soldiers" is the new mission of the Azov Regiment.

"Save the lives of the soldiers" is the new message that the Azov Regiment has received from its superiors, reports Reuters. The master Denys Prokopenko says in a recorded video on Telegram that the work of removing the dead bodies is ongoing.

- I hope that relatives and Ukraine in the near future will be able to bury their soldiers with honor, he says according to the news agency.

The besieged port city has long been one of Russian President Vladimir Putin's major targets of the war. Before the war, Mariupol had 400,000 inhabitants, a number that after weeks of fighting has dropped to less than 100,000 people.

The people who remain in the city have been struggling for some time with a lack of water, food and electricity.

Humanitarian aid has not been able to reach the besieged city at the same time. In addition, it has been difficult to evacuate civilians from the city.
