Trump has previously hinted that he is considering scaling back the effort against Iran.

Tens of thousands of people gathered in Letná Park in the Czech capital Prague on Saturday to demonstrate against the government and Prime Minister Andrej Babis.

According to the organizer, up to 200,000 demonstrators were there to protest against the government, which they believe threatens democracy and steers the country away from support for Ukraine.

Billionaire Babis, who also led the country from 2017 to 2021, formed a nationalist three-party government in December. The government has joined Hungary and Slovakia in its position towards Ukraine and opposes all financial aid to the country and loan guarantees from the EU in its war against Russia.

The protest follows a recent decision by the lower house of parliament to maintain Babis' immunity from prosecution in a large-scale fraud case involving EU subsidies.
