Thailand's King Vajiralongkorn will make one of his rare visits to the kingdom on July 16 and 17 from the luxury hotel in Germany where he spends most of his time. He will fly briefly to Bangkok for the cabinet oath-taking, then go back to Germany.

The members of the new cabinet will swear the oath of office before His Majesty the King on Tuesday, immediately followed by the first cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Prayut Cha-o-cha.
The Cabinet Secretary Office on Sunday announced that the King has granted the new cabinet an audience for swearing the oath at Amporn Palace at 6pm. They will leave from Government House one hour earlier, it added.
The office said Gen Prayut will hold a first meeting with all ministers and deputies in the coalition government after they return from the palace.
Monday will be the last working day for the government handpicked by the National Council for Peace and Order.
