On Wednesday, Russia tested its new nuclear robot Sarmat.
The next day, Russian space chief Dmitry Rogozin tweeted a strange mockery of Britain's prime minister:
"Boris, if Sarmat is used, neither of you will talk to each other. And no one will style your hair ”.
Russia's new intercontinental missile was launched from the Pletesk space base in the Arkhangelsk region. It was the first time it had been tested and the US Pentagon had, according to custom, been informed in advance.
Russia claims that Sarmat - known in the West as "Satan 2" - can carry at least 10 nuclear warheads simultaneously and that it breaks through all existing and future missile defenses.
"This unique weapon will strengthen the combat potential of our armed forces, ensure Russia's security from external threats and provide a food for thought to those who try to threaten our country," President Vladimir Putin said in a televised speech hours after the test.

Tweeted about Johnson
Lieutenant Colonel Joakim Paasikivi at the Swedish National Defense College is not surprised.
- It is a prestige weapon and fits very well into the rhetoric you have now in Russian state television where they talk about, for example, Britain would attack Russia with nuclear weapons and lots of bizarre nuclear weapons statements from various types of experts, he told Aftonbladet on Wednesday .
The next day, the head of the Russian space industry, Dmitry Rogozin, tweeted that Boris Johnson had said that Britain could retaliate against a Russian nuclear attack without first consulting with other NATO countries.
Then, according to Newsweek's translation from Russian, he wrote:
"Boris, if Sarmat is used, neither of you will talk to each other."
In a response to his own tweet, he added:
"And no one will style your hair, Mr. Prime Minister. Yes, and there will be nothing to fix ”.
The British government is investigating
Dmitry Rogozin, 58, has been head of the Russian space agency Roscosmos since 2018. Has previously been Russia's NATO Ambassador and Deputy Prime Minister with responsibility for the defense industry.
It is not uncommon for him to publish sarcastic comments about Western leaders on social media, writes Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty.
Newsweek has not been able to verify that Boris Johnson has expressed himself as Rogozin claims regarding a British retaliation against Russia.

A spokesman for Boris Johnson's office tells the newspaper that they are not aware of any such statement, but that the matter should be investigated.
Another British government source told Newsweek that Rogozin's claim could be deliberate propaganda and that the background could be a television feature earlier in April when Putin's loyalist Vladimir Solovyov discussed a hypothetical nuclear attack from Britain.
After the test firing on Wednesday, Dmitry Rogozin tweeted that Sarmat will be fully tested and ready for delivery to the Russian nuclear forces in the autumn.
