Liz Truss, 47, will become the new Prime Minister of Great Britain, after she won the Tory Party leadership election. 

She takes over from Boris Johnson and takes office already tomorrow, Tuesday. 

Two candidates have been dueling for the post of Prime Minister of Great Britain. They are former finance minister Rishi Sunak and foreign minister Liz Truss. 

Now it is clear that Liz Truss will succeed Boris Johnson and become leader of the Conservative Party and Prime Minister of Great Britain. 

- Liz Truss received 81,326 of the votes, while Rishi Sunak received 60,399. Therefore, Liz Truss has been elected party leader, announced Graham Brady, chairman of the 1922 Committee, the Conservative group in Parliament. 

She takes office tomorrow, Tuesday, as prime minister. 

Liz Truss has been tipped for victory, and has a big lead in the opinion polls. 

 Liz Truss, 47, will be the third woman in the post after Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May.
